How does the wave function collapse?

The role of measurement in quantum mechanics begs many interesting questions. I am interested in experimental tests that probe the quantum measurement process. Measurements of quantum-entangled particles are particularly interesting and counter-intuitive. At the Belle experiment, we have produced approximately 800 million pairs of entangled B-mesons. Physicists typically take the so-called flavor entanglement of such B-meson pair for granted in their data analyses. But the high statistics of B-meson pairs also allow precise quantitative tests of the entanglement itself. We are currently exploring this topic.
