NA61/SHINE production cross-section measurements of (anti)deuterons and antiprotons

NA61/SHINE is a fixed target experiment at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. The experiment studies the hadronic final states produced in interactions of various beam particles with a variety of fixed targets. We use the experiment to measure the production cross-section of (anti)deuterons and antiprotons in proton-proton and other heavier ion interactions collisions. These measurements will be used to reduce uncertainties in the antideuteron formation models, and thus improve theoretical predictions and data interpretation for cosmic-ray antideuteron searches.
