Chris Kenney, Sherwood Parker and I met
for about an hour and a half in Chris' office in the Central Lab Annex.
Agenda:
- Update on first Brem target run in Hawaii
- Sherwood -- hand off of 3D detector and amps from CERN
- Comment on first 130nm (CHAMP ASIC) run
- STURM2 mating for testing (infor exchange) -- needs for ATF2
- Follow-up with Chris on gunked wafers
Notes:
- Not much progress since the December meeting, about which Chris
was chagrined. In fact he had identified a few devices he could
send to us, but by the time he got approval (or gave up on getting it),
he couldn't remember what it was that he was going to send.
- 3D detector received is 177um thick (typically run 200-250um for
etching reasons)
- Sintef run for CMS + ATLAS suffered from large leakage current
(FEI3 targeted)
- Sintef running another batch -- FEI4/ATLAS -- no trenches
- Stanford run is started by waiting on mask
Action items:
- There are 3 prongs for getting devices:
- Obtain existing devices
- Do assay on cruded wafers to possibly clean and provide a new
lot of parts
- Complete run that is awaiting masks
- To help expedite item 3 -- contact was made whether Jasmine could
help (ANS: no, she is completely overcommitted with CDMS-II fab)
- How to best expedite -- Sherwood will jump in and use his
favorite technique to make things happen [a place where can provide support]
