Trace layout:
--What happens to x-rays that convert in fan-out region?
--About 5% for HER would happen there.
--If no diffusion there, would come out slowly (tens of ns)
--In upper corners, put some diffusion and let it bleed out to nearest 
pixel
--Timescale:  ambitious goal is this calendar year.  (Radiation test at 
Los Alamos mid-Dec.)  Otherwise late Feb.
----Two months of processing time needed.

Spectrometer:
--Draft design with 12 strips
--Can see difference between LER and HER spectra
--go to 16 strips, increase resolution at low end (drop last two 
channels, subdivide channels from #2 on?  #1 is only 18 um thick, so 
cannot go thinner.)
