The setup for the measurement are all the same -- the noise source was connected to the one of the interferometer waveguide transition modules and then output signal went through a Mini-Circuit Bias Tee to power the LNB at 18V. The 8970B noise figure meter was set to make an offset measurement using the lower sideband using measurement mode 1.4 with the external LO runs at 5.15 MHz and arithematic smoothing of 16. The measurements were were done with loss compensation on: loss on the input was 0.1 dB (based on the S11/S21 measurements of the interferometer waveguide transition modules), the loss temperature was 297 K and the loss on the output was 31 dB (30 dB coming from a 30 dB attenuator on the output as needed to keep the gain of the DUT, device under testing, below 40, and then other 1 dB to account for the loss in the Bias Tee and the Rosenberger cable.)
