Physics Graduatuate awarded the Honors Prize!

Congratuations on your major accomplishment!

Physics and Astronomy graduate student Erica Sawczynec awarded the Honors Prize for her excellent thesis, “Asteroseismology of a Nearby Resolved Stellar Binary“.  It is only the second ever honors thesis award for an astronomy project in the history of the honors program! The awardees were gifted a Kindle Paperwhite this year.

According to the Honors website, the projects should represent excellent work that stands out, even among other Honors work. Each department is limited to one nominee and a student’s evaluating Committee may recommend a exceptional Honors Project for the Honors Award.
