There will be 8 problems. Each is worth 25 points. Problem 1: Electric Fields: Gauss' Law/Coulomb's Law Problem 2: Electric Potential/Capacitance Problem 3: Magnetic Fields: Ampere's Law/Biot Savart's Law Problem 4: Magnetic Induction/Faraday's Law Problem 5: EM waves: Energy and Momentum Transport Problem 6: Light: Refraction, Reflection and Dispersion Problem 7: Conceptual Questions Problem 8: Conceptual Questions The conceptual questions include one problem on AC circuits, one problem on magnetic materials and problems on geometric optics for mirrors and lenses. There will be no problems on optical instruments (i.e. the eye, microscope and telescope).
