S.Olsen CSU 3/15/96 OHP1 Study of psi'-->k*(890)^0 k*(890)^0-bar and k*(890)^0 k*_2(1430^0bar + cc -The k*(890) k*(890)-bar mode violates SU(3). -There is no PDG entry for for this mode for either the J/psi or the psi', only a 90% CL upper limit of < 5x10^{-4) for the J/psi -The IHEP people quote a "preliminary" Mark3 value of Br(J/psi-->k*^0 k*^0bar) = 2.9 +/- 0.4 +/- 0.6 x 10^{-4} ---- -The J/psi-->k*(890)k*_2(1430) decay is one of the most common hadronic decay modes of the J/psi: Br(J/psi-->k*^0 k*_2^0bar + cc) = 6.7 +/- 2.6 x 10^{-3}, about half of the rho pi mode. ---- -Yuan Changzheng (IHEP) finds: Br(psi'-->k*^0 k*^0bar) = 0.45 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.07 x 10^{-4}, in good agreement with the application of the 14% rule to the Mk3 preliminary result; and Br(psi'-->k*^0 k*_2^0bar + cc) < 1.79 x 10^{-4} (90%CL), indicating a factor of >5 suppression fromn 14% rule expectations I am trying to check this and not use pid.
