*10/02    The meeting yesterday on Jim's "Control Box Programming and Description" was very useful. Below I summarize some of the key issues. Please send comments and corrections.    1.) "Who's is charge"? I am worried about who has control, especially at first when there is no computer interface. I would suggest for manual control, a two position switch. When enabled, manual control is in charge, when disabled, it is completely disabled. However, it is too late to modify the present control box since it is to be shipped in one week. This modification might be considered for the 2nd control box. However, if the first control box works as is, then this modification is not really necessary.    2.)Manual and USTC operation must be tested completely with the final control box assembly. Is the temperature readout not operational at this time?    3.) We need to contact USTC to see if they can supply the USTC control signal requested by Jim.    4.) We need to generate a DAQ trigger for use when running under PC control. We need to contact USTC about the specifics of the USTC DAQ trigger so ours will be similar.    5.) We want to readout the control box Xilinx board for two cases: slow monitoring (say once per hour) and after laser firing (say once per day but multiple times). The first would be done under the slow control monitoring; the second would be by the TOF monitoring software. We need to learn more about the monitoring software and data bases. How do we get hold of the TOF data?    6.) The control box does not read the PS voltages. To make it easier to check these voltages, it would be useful to have them available on the front panel. Maybe control box 2?    7.) We need a contact at IHEP, who can update the control box firmware and software if necessary.    8.) According to Andrew there may be a lack of memory available on the Xilinix for the program and firmware    9.) We plan now to ship on the 9th. Marc will need help with packing.
