March 11, 2004 There's a nice article about the ANITA project in the Christian Science monitor

Jan 5, 2004 After more than 18 days at float the ANITA-LITE and TIGER experiments balloon flight was terminated. The experiment landed safely on the ground and recovery operaions, assisted by the Australian Antarctic program, will be undertaken to recover the instrument.  A flight track of the balloon is avaliable here.

December 17 2003 At 5:08 pm, December 17th Mcmurdo time the ANITA-LITE payload was launched as a piggyback with the TIGER experiment. 

November 4 2003: The ANITA project has been selected by NASA for study as part of the Small Explorer program program. This marks the first time a Long Duration Balloon payload has been selected for such a study

July 2003: ANITA-LITE, a prototype of the full ANITA instrument, was integrated in Palestine, Texas at the NASA's National Scientific Balloon Facility. A compatibility and hang test was successfully passed and the ANITA-LITE instrument is now heading down to Antarctica. A team of ANITA scientists will travel down in November and prepare the instrument for a LDB balloon launch expected in December 2003.
