(1958) Brooklyn College
- M.S.
(1961) and Ph.D (1967) from Syracuse
University. All degrees in physics.
- I
have been at UH since 1973.
- I
started in the General Science department,
but in 1980 I became half-time with
Physics and half-time with General
Science. In 1995 I because full-time
in Physics. I have received over
$1,000,000 in external grants to
further my research efforts in the
field of physics education.

| Joe Laszlo
is my graduate student. He is a doctoral candidate with the
TECS department in the College of Education. His thesis involves
the use of toy-based physical science activities to instruct
both pre-service elementary education majors and inservice elementary
school teachers. |
