High Energy Physics Group (BES Group) at UH

Welcome to the Home Page of the High Energy Physics Group.

We are a part of the Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Hawaii.

University of Hawaii joined the BES Collaboration in 1993 and since then has had a strong impact on the BES program. We are currently working for BESIII, Harris has been co-spokesman of BESII since 1998 and is now also a co-spokesman for BESIII. Currently we are responsible for constructing a new laser/fiber-optic TOF (Time of Flight) monitoring system for BESIII. And also we are trying to install BESIII environment and Monte Carlo Check at UH.

UH Physics Analysis and Sofware

Chengping has successfully installed BOSS6.3.0 based on SLC3 at UH and is helping University of Minnesota to install BOSS6.3.1. Currently we have two methods to install BOSS package. UH Group currently joined the Charmonium Group at IHEP to do physics analysis.
